FlightSim 2000

No CD crack (151KB)	Removes the need to insert the FlightSim CD into your CD-ROM to start the program. The CD is not needed if you are flying in an area that was installed onto your hard drive during FS2000 installation.	fs2knocd.zip
Remove 'Brakes' Messages (23KB)	Removes the annoying 'Brakes' and 'Parking Brakes' messages from FS2000. Replaces messages with a 'B' and 'PB'. FOR FS2000 ONLY.	brakeoff.zip

To speed up the loading of FlightSim 2000 you can easily turn off the Microsoft logo that displays at startup. Within the main FlightSim directory is a file called 'fs2000.cfg'. Open the file using the Windows Notepad and look for the '[MAIN]' section. One of the entries in this section is 'ShowLogo=1'. Change this to 'ShowLogo=0' and the logo will not be displayed, thereby reducing program loading time.

FlightSim 98

The two most important files you need to download after installing FS98 are the 'Patch 1' file and the 'Flight Shop Converter'. These should noticeably improve the performance of FS98.

Microsoft Update Patch 1 (801KB)	Important upgrade file. Improves the performance of FS98 by correcting a number of bugs. Also, increases UK scenery display rates and scenery buffer size.	fs98pat1.exe
Microsoft Flight Shop Converter (1515KB)	Installs the Microsoft Flight Shop Converter program which is required before you add any new aircraft. When installed, you can convert aircraft from earlier versions of FlightSim into the FS98 format. Also contains a number of bug fixes.	fsconv98.exe
