Intelligence Report (FAO: Home Fleet) - 23.28hrs GMT 07/10/42:

FROM:Admiralty Intelligence Unit
TO:Fire Control Officer (Home Fleet) - Location: North Atlantic

"Land based reconnaissance aircraft located the enemy fleet, commanded by Admiral Kompüter, before dusk but have turned back because of low fuel. Due to bad weather the radar systems are not functioning and we are unable to launch the torpedo-bombers from our aircraft carrier. Although we cannot visually see the enemy we should be able to spot shell hits on their ships in the dark."

"Our intelligence sources indicate that the composition of the enemy fleet is as follows:"
1 Aircraft Carrier / 2 Battleships / 4 Cruisers / 6 Destroyers

"It is unlikely that the enemy will use its carrier aircraft to attack because of the weather. However, they will probably commence an attack as soon as we are within range of their guns."

"As per your orders you have been placed directly in command of the fleet's guns. Select the target location by clicking in the 'Fire Control Screen'. The 'Friendly Forces' screen will show the status of our own fleet. Information as to the remaining strength of the enemy will be relayed directly to your status bar. We expect the battle will not be over until one fleet is completely destroyed. Our gunners await your commands. Good luck, Sir."
